Tart Cherry & Elderberry Winter Wellness Gummies

Course Snack
Prep Time 2 hours 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Unsweetened organic tart cherry juice
  • 1/2 Cup Elderberry syrup
  • 3 Tbsp Organic grass-fed gelatin
  • 1-2 Tbsp Honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness of your syrup)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice (optional, brightens flavor)

Instructions

  1. Warm the tart cherry juice

Pour the cherry juice into a small saucepan. Warm over low heat until just hot—but not boiling.

  2. Bloom the gelatin

Sprinkle the gelatin slowly over the warm juice while whisking constantly to avoid clumping. Continue whisking until fully dissolved (2–3 minutes).

  3. Add the elderberry syrup

Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the elderberry syrup, sweetener (if using), and optional lemon juice.

  4. Pour into molds

Transfer the mixture into silicone gummy molds or a small baking dish lined with parchment.

  5. Chill

Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm.

  6. Remove and store

Pop gummies out of molds (or cut into squares if using a dish). Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.

How to Use

  • Kids: 1–2 gummies daily (check with their provider if under age 2)
  • Adults: 2–4 gummies daily, or use in the evening for gentle sleep support.
  • Sick-day boost: Add an extra gummy or two as needed.

Tips & Variations

  • Vegan version: Swap gelatin for agar agar (3–4 tsp), simmering the mixture for 2–3 minutes to activate.
  • Immune boost: Add ½ tsp grated ginger or a pinch of cinnamon while warming the juice.
  • Bedtime gummies: Add magnesium glycinate powder after cooling slightly (½–1 tsp per batch).
