This recipe is a game changer if you’re avoiding gluten and/or yeast but still crave bread! Many commercial gluten free breads still have lots of unhealthy filler ingredients in them. This is a super quick and easy gluten free English muffin recipe that has 3 simple ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes to make. It’s perfect for an egg sandwich, avocado toast (my fave!), turkey sandwich, open face tuna melt, or anything else you feel like topping it with!

Quick Gluten Free English Muffin

  • 4 tbsp Golden ground flax- fresh is best for top nutrient levels
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 1/2 – 3/4 tsp Baking Powder


  • 1/2 tsp Everything Bagel Seasoning – use whatever is your favorite here (don’t mix in, this is to sprinkle on top)


  1. Whisk together mixture ingredients in a small microwave safe bowl or ramekin. Make sure the bottom of the bowl is "english muffin sized," about 3-3.5 inches.

  2. Sprinkle the seasoning on top.

  3. Cook in the microwave for 90 seconds. The English muffin will puff up when it cooks.

  4. Remove from the microwave (it will be hot!) and flip bowl upside down to remove. Cut in half and top with your favorite toppings!
