Happy Holidays! We thought it would be fun to have a little catch up  – Q&A style – with our Inspired Health providers, to see what’s inspiring them these days and what they’re most excited about in 2023.

Today, we’re chatting with Dr. Weintrob!

Q: Tell us about a book, podcast, or show (or all three!) that has captured your attention lately

BOOKS:

The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer.

WW: This was recommended to me by a patient that is truly ‘Breaking The Habit of Being Herself’ and seeing profound changes in her health and life. I am right in the middle of this book.  So far it has been an excellent teaching of Metacognition (The awareness or analysis of our own thinking processes).

Our thinking profoundly affects everything in our life. I always tell the patients I work with: “If I had a pinnacle of your health – Your digestion, your sleep, and how you think sit at the top of the pinnacle of your health!”

Becoming SuperNatural by Joe Dispenza

WW:  I have listened to this book three times. 🙂 It’s an excellent teaching of how our thoughts affect our Life – Health, Happiness, Relationships, Joy and beyond!

Diana Herself- An Allegory of Awakening by Martha Beck

WW: This is a great book that teaches via a beautiful fictional story. It’s one of my favorites because it instructs on many of the concepts that are described in Becoming Supernatural and The Untethered Soul.

SHOW:

Limitless with Chris Hemsworth (National Geographic Series on Disney Plus)

WW: This series provides excellent depictions of the Pillars of Health and Naturopathic Medicine modalities that we teach at Inspired Health. They are advertising this show as new scientific research though many of the concepts they discuss are the cornerstones of Naturopathic Medicine.

PODCAST:

Michael Singer Podcast:  S2 E4- Taking Care of your Inner Environment

WW: “Cleaning up the pizza boxes” is key.  Have a listen for yourself! This is a good one!

Q: Name your favorite winter activity

WW: Downhill Skiing with my son, husband, and friends!  Winter skiing has been a huge part of our life for years. Skiing evens the playing field with my son.  In fact – it’s hard for me to keep up with him now!

My new recent endeavor: Backcountry cross country skiing.  I am loving the ease, the quiet, and being in nature with myself, my breath, my dog and the white fluffies. 🙂

Q: What’s your go-to snack when you’re adventuring outside in the winter?

WW: Some of my favorites are grass fed jerky, turkey and cheese on a Siete tortilla, sprouted almonds. Apples are tried and true and a part of our daily life! No package required!  I am loving the Organic Opal apples that are in season right now.

Q: Name a song you have on repeat lately

WW: You would have to ask my son.  He is now Dj’ing and taking over the music.  All good with me as long as the vibe is positive!

Q: What’s your favorite holiday tradition?

WW: First chair Christmas Day!

Q: What are you most looking forward to in 2023?

WW: More time outside adventuring with my family!  We have had our heads down with a project and we are ready to switch gears!

Thanks Dr. Weintrob! Happy Holidays!
